SHILLONG: A 23-year-old man was arrested on Thursday morning for possessing .79 gm of heroin.
A special team of the Sadar Police arrested Kennystar Sungoh, a resident of Golflink at Trenching Ground Road in Jhalupara, was arrested and his two-wheeler was also seized. A joint team of the Anti Narcotics Task Force and Laitumkhrah Police arrested two more persons, Shembor L Nonglait and Tania Diengdoh, based on Sungoh’s information.
Police recovered 1.79 gm of heroin, 24 empty tobacco tin containers used for packing the contraband and 27 syringes from their possession.
