12 kids rescued, 3 traffickers arrested

Guwahati: At least 12 children have been rescued and three suspected traffickers were arrested here by Railway Protection Force.
“Continuing its drive against human traffickers, Railway Protection Force personnel of Rangiya rescued five boys and seven girls from traffickers,” Northeast Frontier Railway Chief Spokesperson Pranav Jyoti Sharma told PTI.
The accused said that they were taking the children to Mumbai for handing them over to some agents in exchange of money against each child.
“They said that they had taken some girls from Assam to Mumbai and handed them over to the agents,” he said. The accused were handed over to Police, Sharma added. (PTI)
