Khasi Unitarianism
Unitarians all over North East will celebrate the 129th anniversary of the birth of Khasi Unitarianism on September 18 with worship services, sports for children, torch procession and community feast. At the Madan Laban Church, the morning prayers will be held at 9 am and the main service will take place at 2 pm.
Passing out ceremony
Passing out ceremony of the 43rd batch of the Field Assistant Trainees (2015-2016) will be held on Sept 17 at the auditorium of the Conservation Training Institute, Byrnihat.
Hindi Diwas
The office of the Accountant General (Audit), Meghalaya, the Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, and Regional Training Institute, Meghalaya celebrated the closing ceremony of Hindi Week jointly on in Civil Audit Sports and Cultural Club on September 14.
The Border Security Force, Ftr HQ Shillong organized ‘Hindi Day’ on September 14. Officers and other members of the Border Security Force were present during the function which saw various speakers talk on the importance of Hindi.
Musical evening
The Music Department of St. Anthony’s College, Shillong along with 4th Element, a well known music band from the city will host a musical evening at the college auditorium on September 16. The musical show is themed “In Consonance” and is aimed at creating awareness among the youth about the musical genre of 4th Element as well as to provide a platform to the students of the music department to showcase their talent.
Awareness programme
The office of the District Medical & Health Officer West Khasi Hills organized a one-day community awareness and sensitization programme on various health schemes under the department of Health and Family Welfare, National Health Mission on September 14.
