Two held for city vendor’s murder

SHILLONG: Two persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of a vegetable seller in the city. Eric Remruatpuia (39) was murdered in Madanrting Block D area and his body was recovered from the campus of Madan Hindi Patshala on May 5. Police on Friday arrested two persons and they have been identified as Lalmuanpuia and Robin Kharmawphlang, both hailing from Madanrting E Block. The case was investigated by Madanrting officer in charge BK Mishra. Police are trying to find out the motive behind the murder.
