Dry day
The District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills has declared dry day on October 10 and 11 in the district on account of Durga Puja.
Guidelines
The DC (Supply) WJHhas informed that the guideline on implementation of non-NFSA (Tide Over) for rice is available in the Department website: www.-megfesa.gov.in. Bona fide citizens whose names have not been included in the list may apply in the prescribed format along with necessary documents.
NSS camping
The National Service Scheme (NSS) St. Edmund’s College will organise its NSS Special Camping at Mawdulop Village under Mawkynrew Block and Dewlieh (Sohra-Rim) under Khatarshnong Laitkroh, East Khasi Hills from October 7- 14. About 200 volunteers accompanied by programme officers and faculty members will take part in the week-long programme.
Concert
Pearly Dew Secondary School will organise a concert, “The wind in the willows” on October 7 from 3 pm. Health Minister Roshan Warjri will be the Chief Guest at the event.
Get together
The get-together of the Shella Presbytery Organization, Shillong (SPO) will be held at Mawkhar Christian Higher Secondary School from 11:30 am on October 11.
Puja wishes
Shree Shree Gorkha Durga Puja Committee, Luckier Road, Paltan Bazaar extended warm wishes for the Durga Puja festival (Dashain) and welcomed all to take part in the Phool Pati Shobah Yatra at 12:30 pm on Saturday from Gorkha Durga Mandir.
