SHILLONG: The retaining wall of the State Convention Centre in Bivar Road here collapsed in the early hours of the morning on Thursday.
Director of Tourism R.C. Sohkhlet claimed that the wall collapsed due to the continuous rain that lashed the city in the last few days.
The Meghalaya Government Construction Company Limited (MGCC) had undertaken the construction of the State Convention Centre which was subsequently handed over to Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation.
