AGARTALA: Fleeing from their camps in Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh, five insurgents of the outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura have surrendered to the police without any arms, but deposited one wireless set, on Thursday evening.
SP, Police Control, Uttam Bhowmick said the ultras surrendered to the SP (Special Branch), Arindam Nath here on Thursday evening and deposited one wireless set and some documents.
“They are listed insurgents and surrendered due to frustration in the life of an extremist and the miserable conditions in NLFT camps in Bangladesh,” the official said.
