SHILLONG: KHADC Chairman Mansturdy Nongrem has directed the KHADC Executive Committee (EC) led by CEM P.N Syiem to be prompt while giving replies to queries raised by members of the House during the session.
With 31 unanswered questions during the session, Nongrem said it adds up to 42 per cent of queries that were left without answers, which speaks of poor performance. “The EC should at least make an attempt to answer all the questions and we want to see cent per cent questions answered,” Nongrem said.
Stating that she has not received the proceedings of the House till date, KHADC member Teilinia Thangkhiew said, “There were many questions that were left unanswered since the last summer session.”
Nongrem directed the EC to furnish the proceedings of the House to the members after the end of the session.
During the last KHADC summer session, the Chairman had slammed the EC for its inefficiency as only 50 per cent queries were answered in the House.
