Pro tem chairman’s name sent to Guv

SHILLONG: The District Council Affairs Department has sent the name of the proposed pro tem chairman for KHADC to the Governor for his approval as the posts of chairman and co-chairman of the council are vacant following their resignations.
District Council Affairs Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters on Wednesday that based on the district council rules the department has recommended the name of the pro term chairman so that he can chair the session to elect a new KHADC chairman.
Tynsong, however, did not reveal the name recommended for the post of pro tem chairman.
