Border row: Minister directs CCIB to Centre

SHILLONG: The state government has expressed its inability to look into the demand of the Coordination Committee on International Border (CCIB) to re-align the border.
Border area development minister, Prestone Tynsong recently told reporters that it would be difficult for the state to intervene in the matter  while the survey for fencing is on since the border alignment  was already approved by both the Centre and Bangladesh and that it has already been ratified. “The CCIB is free to meet either the Home Minister or the Prime Minister”, Tynsong said
