TURA: Giving hope to hundreds of patients with kidney problems in the Garo Hills, a new dialysis unit was, for the first time, on Tuesday, inaugurated at the Tura Christian Hospital.
The installation of the new unit is a first for Garo Hills and would mean that people in need of a dialysis no longer have to travel to Guwahati and spend thousands on travel expenses and other basic necessities like fooding and lodging.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, former Rajya Sabha MP, Thomas A Sangma said that the achievement was a blessing for the people of Garo Hills.
Earlier on the occasion, a newly set up coffee corner was also officially opened by the chief guest.
