World AIDS Day
The Meghalaya AIDS Control Society will organize the State Level Observation of World AIDS Day under the theme, “Hands up for #HIVPrevention” from 10 am onwards at U Soso Tham Auditorium on December 1. The event will feature the AIDS logo competition, blood donation camp, candle light vigil and “We Are One-Concert” for World AIDS Day.

Shutdown notice
The Executive Engineer, MePDCL, Khliehriat Distribution Division has informed that the 33/11KV Bus at Moowakhu Sub-Station will be put under shut-down from 09:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs from December 1 to 3 to facilitate the drilling of holes for renovation of earthing works in the switchyard under ASPA schemes. In view of this, power supply to Khliehriat, Sutnga area will be affected.

The Sub Divisional Officer (Supply), Sohra Civil Sub-Division, has invited fresh applications from interested persons, cooperative societies, NGO’s and SHG’s for appointment as government’s nominee/wholesale dealership in PDS at Sohra wholesale centre for 2017. The centres are Mawkdok, Ladsohbar, Laitryngew, Shella and Sohra.
