UDP urges PM to solve money matters before Christmas

SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party (UDP) has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to relax the present strictures to ease dispensation of cash from banks before Christmas.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, UDP working president Jemino Mawthoh said the party has welcomed the move but it also feels that it has been a harrowing experience for the marginalised section in remote areas who could not be part of the Jan Dhan Yojana due to lack of information and also those who failed on justifiable accounts.    Mawthoh said since expenses will be high during the festival, a relaxation to ease dispensation of cash from banks and an increased withdrawal limit will help citizens end the year on a happy note.
