Meghalaya Crime Update

Murder
Tamlin Shianglong lodged a complaint that on December 28 around 7 PM, unidentified miscreants murdered one Tarius Mawdoh at Mawdoh village under Nongstoin PS (WKH). Necessary formalities were observed and the matter is under investigation.
Body found
On December 29 around 11 AM, dead body of one Biruson Marak (57) was found lying at Ampati Songma Tri-Junction (SWGH). Cadaver was sent to CH Tura for PM examination.
Assault
Regarding assault of one mentally unstable person, Ganesh Debbarman at Pomura (EKH). On December 30 around 11.45 AM, Ganesh was found from a jungle at Pomura (EKH) and was later handed over to his relatives.
One Donald Pyngrope lodged a complaint that on December 29 around 9.30 PM, four persons namely, Pyndaplang Nongrum, Jurist Wanniang, Michael Sanglyne and Goldrick D Pyngrope assaulted one Anthony Pyngrope at Umpling Dongumbah, Shillong.
Threatened
Armstrong R Sangma lodged a complaint that on December 21 & 22, he received phone calls in which the anonymous caller demanded Rs. 2 lakhs and threatened him and his family with dire consequences.
Accidents
On December 30 around 1.20 PM, one motorcycle (ML-05P-3586) ridden by Christopher Leong (35) knocked down one fifty year old pedestrian at Laitumkhrah Police Point, Shillong. Victim sustained grievous injuries and was admitted at NEIGRIHMS for treatment.
On December 30 around 8 AM, one Maruti Alto car (A/F) driven by Treshan Pariong (46) turned turtle at Sohiong Bypass Road under Sohiong OP (EKH). As a result, two occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and were removed to CH Shillong for treatment.
On December 29 around 2.45 PM, an accident took place between one Maruti van (ML-05D-1264) and a Maruti Alto car (ML-05P-1580) at Mawphlang under Mawngap OP (EKH), in which three persons sustained injuries and were moved to CH Shillong for treatment.
On December 29 around 4.30 PM, one motorcycle (ML-05K-1461) ridden by Mriton Kachari knocked down one 13-year-old girl at Lad Mawkhan, 7th Mile, Upper Shillong. As a result, motorcycle rider and the victim sustained injuries and were removed to Woodland Hospital, Shillong for treatment
Apprehended
On December 28, Police detected two Bangladeshi nationals namely, Md. Saju Miah (25) of Busitompara village under Baksiganj PS (Bangladesh) and Md. Rubel Miah (18) of Lalchapara village under Baksiganj PS (Bangladesh), at Mahendraganj (SWGH). Both of them were later arrested.
