Assault
On January 1 around 3.30 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted six persons, Bankyrshan Mawthoh, Fosterly Kharmawphlang, Cooper Kenny Kurkalang, Panborskhem Marbaniang, Resterson Sohtun and E. Kharmawphlang at Umiew, Pomlakrai (EKH), damaged their car and stole one cell-phone. As a result, Bankyrshan Mawthoh and Fosterly Kharmawphlang sustained injuries and were admitted at NEIGRIHMS. Police arrested five persons, Rikopskhem Mawrie, Mario Mawrie, Nathan Mawrie, Shemphang Mawrie and Kyrshan Kharkongor in this regard.
Allegation
On January 3 Kisalay Das of Nongshiliang lodged a complaint that one Vikramaditya and his wife psychologically tortured him and terrorised his family. Meanwhile, on the same day Vikramaditya Rohan Das of Nongshiliang lodged a complaint that Kisalay Das, Meena Das and Anjali Das have been abusing, spreading rumours against his wife and accusing her of evil practices.
Thieves arrested
Hamar Basuk Dkhar lodged a complaint that on January 2 morning, four persons, Kitbor Rapsang (28 yrs), Albert Kurbah (30 yrs), Franky Kurbah (39 yrs) and Vicky Kurbah (29 yrs) were apprehended while they were stealing iron rods and livestock from Mawkalum village (EKH). Police arrested the accused persons.
Theft
On December 31 around 6 pm, unknown miscreant(s) broke into the house of one Yesbidel Thyrniang at Mission Compound, Shillong and stole one TV set and DVD player.
One knocked down
On December 31 around 9 pm, one motorcycle (ML-05G-9048) ridden by Kitbok Mawroh (40 yrs) knocked down Pyrki Gurung (63 yrs) at Nongmynsong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Bethany Hospital.
