Ladthadlaboh Dorbar Shnong platinum jubilee

JOWAI: The Ladthadlaboh Dorbar Shnong, which started in 1942, is celebrating a year-long platinum jubilee.
Speaking at the inauguration as chief guest, Shillong West MLA Paul Lyngdoh congratulated the Dorbar on their 75th year celebrations. He lauded the elders, who founded the village, for their vision, determination, dedication, commitment, ideas and responsibilities.
The Dorbar started with 11 households under the leadership of 29 leaders — 12 men and nine women members and eight youths.
Apart from the villagers, others who attended the programme were Marki Mulieh, member of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, L.D Lakiang, Waheh Chnong Ladthadlaboh, ABM Shullai, general secretary, and present and past executive members of the Dorbar Shnong.
