BSF schoolchildren return from Bangladesh

SHILLONG: A group of 23 students from BSF School Shillong returned from Bangladesh on Monday evening after completing their four-day tour of the neighbouring country. They were away on a tour as part of confidence building measures by both the border area forces.
The BSF School students went to Bangladesh from ICP Dawki on January 27. They were taken to various resorts, the BGB headquarters, academic institutions and museum. They travelled to Dhaka, the capital city, via cities likes Sylhet, Srimongal, Sarail and others.
The students visited Birshreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College and Birshreshtha Munsi Abdul Rouf Public College in Dhaka and interacted with schoolchildren and exchanged ideas.
The students were also given a glimpse of the developing Bangladesh by showing Bangabandhu Novo Theatre, Jumuna Future Park and others.
A group of Bangladesh students also accompanied the visitors and briefed the guests on the country’s history. Indian students also participated in colourful activities organised by the Bangaldesh Government to showcase the rich cultural heritage of India.
Earlier, Bangladesh students visited Meghalaya in October 2016.
