Theft
On February 1 at about 4 pm, VDP members of Nongspung village (EKH) caught red-handed a juvenile while he was stealing a car tape from the vehicle of Elbison Marwein at the village and handed him over at Sohiong OP.
One Mukesh Shah lodged a complaint that on January 31, he found that unknown miscreant(s) stole cash Rs. 980, one cell-phone and grocery items from his shop at MTC Building, Jail Road, Shillong.
On January 31, unknown miscreant(s) stole one cell-phone from the residence of Biswajit Das at Jail Road, Shillong.
Cyber bully
On February 1 a woman lodged a complaint that five persons, Wentong Marak, James Marak, Sko Lokpret Sangma, Raksang S Marak and Ravegha Sangma, uploaded baseless messages against her in their Facebook accounts and also threatened her.
One arrested for extortion
On January 30, police detained one Toseng M Sangma @ Tiongbirth (19) while he was attempting to collect the demand money from Sadugre Mahari Gate at 7th Mile, Dangkong (NGH).
