EKH SP to study urban transport in HK, Taipei

SHILLONG: East Khasi Hills SP M. Kharkrang and 41 officers from other states involved in public transport have been invited by Hong Kong Polytechnic University and National Taiwan University to study the urban transport system in Hong Kong and Taipei from February 5-11.
Kharkrang had attended a short course of leaders programme in Urban Transport Planning and Management at the Centre for Excellence on Public Transport in Ahmedabad.
Later, he also presented a project proposal in Gandhinagar and New Delhi on how to decongest Polo area. This is done as part of the initiative of the Ministry of Urban Development.
