‘Campaign for Change’ to organise public meetings

SHILLONG: The ‘Campaign for Change’ will hold public meetings on February 14 at 11 am at Mawkyrwat market, at Kynshi market at 1 pm on February 15 and at Riangdo market at 1 pm on February 17. KHADC CEM P.N. Syiem will be the chief guest in the meetings.
Earlier, Syiem had propagated the need to bring in change in the political and societal systems considering the overall disenchantment among the youths of the state over the current state of affairs.
He had also called for suggestions to improve the current system of governance.

Drivers’ day

SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills Local Taxi Welfare Association (EKHTLWA) observed the first ‘drivers’ day” at Jeep Stand here on Sunday. Congress MLA A.L. Hek  was the chief guest on the occasion Among others present were SP City (Traffic) N Syiem, president of Shillong Law College Student’s Association Peter A Dohkrut and members of EKHTLWA from urban and rural areas. Hek lauded the services rendered by local taxi drivers.
