Rape incidents reported from various districts

SHILLONG: Three rape cases have been reported from different districts of the state in the last few days.A woman lodged a complaint that on February 13, one unidentified taxi driver took her 20-year-old daughter to an unknown destination and raped her. In another incident on February 11, Phedrik Sawkmie allegedly raped his 12-year-old step-daughter at Mawlang village under Umiam Police station. Accused is absconding after committing the crime.Another case of repeated rape was reported in West Khasi Hills. A woman lodged a complaint that in April 2016, Banteilang Sohshang raped her daughter on several occasions at Pyndengrei village.
