One killed
On February 28, Md. Aftaf Husain parked his truck (AS-01DD-9262) near a petrol pump at Sohshrieh (EJH) and got off the vehicle, however, the vehicle accidentally moved forward and dashed him causing injuries to him.
Later, the victim was shifted to NEIGRIHMS, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A Mizoram bound TATA Sumo from Guwahati overturned on a turning when the driver lost control of the vehicle at Puriang under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills District on March 3 at about 11 pm. The driver, Swaya (25) along with a passenger, Siami (41) sustained injuries and they have been shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital by the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Mawryngkneng.
In another incident, a driver of truck sustained injuries when the vehicle overturned at Ialong under Thadlaskien Block in West Jaintia Hills District on March 3 at about 10:56 pm. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Jowai helped in shifting Tympang Suting (30) to Jowai Civil Hospital.
In yet another incident, a pedestrian, Kyrshan Teron (36) was hit by a motorcycle and sustained injuries. The incident happened near the MECOFED office at Mawlai Mawiong, Shillong on March 3 at about 7:04 pm. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Shillong helped in shifting Kyrshan Teron to Shillong Civil Hospital.
In another incident on the same day, one Tata Sumo (MZ-01F-7739) driven by H. Lalruatathluanga (27) capsized at Puriang in East Khasi Hills. The driver and three occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to NEIGRIHMS.
On March 2, one Tata Sumo (ML-04B-4604) collided with one Maruti car (ML-05K-5120) at Umsuwe, Ladmukhla, NH-44 in West Jaintia Hills. The driver of the Maruti car sustained minor injuries and was shifted to a hospital. Driver of the Tata Sumo is absconding.
