First experimental N-reaction meet held

SHILLONG: The 7th DAE-BRNS workshop on “EXFOR compilation on nuclear data” was conducted at the school of Sciences of Physical Sciences on Monday.
B. Jyrwa, convener said, that the workshop is to disseminate and how to go about compiling experimental nuclear data which will be transmitted to Department of Atomic Energy. She said, “In North East it is the first time such a workshop is held. We are working on nuclear compilation and evaluation.”
Naohiko Otsuka, of International Atomic Energy Agency said the main purpose is to compile all the experimental nuclear reaction data measured in India in past two years.“For nuclear physics researchers, experimental data is a starting point to do some research so it is important to maintain up to date experimental data basis,” he said.
