NPP wants PA Sangma’s statue at Tura stadium gate

TURA: The National People’s Party (NPP) wants a life-size statue of late P.A Sangma at the entrance of the Dikki Bandi Stadium in Dakopgre.
The party will soon submit a memorandum in this regard to Tura MP and late Sangma’s son Conrad K. Sangma, it was decided on the late leader’s death anniversary on March 4.
Talking about his association with late Sangma for over 30 years, former Rajya Sabha MP Thomas A. Sangma said he was “really fortunate to have such a leader and mentor”.
The stadium, which was earlier called the Multipurpose Stadium, was constructed with MPLAD fund.
