E-services launched in West Khasi Hills

SHILLONG: West Khasi Hills District moved a step closer towards digitization with the launch of e-services on Monday.Services such as issuance of Scheduled Tribe certificates, Scheduled Caste certificates, certificates for recruitment into Armed/Paramilitary/Police Force, residential certificates, permanent residential certificates for higher studies and income certificate will now be made available to citizens in Nongstoin Sadar sub-division through digital mode. Efforts are being made to make the services available for residents of Mairang sub-division by the end of this month. Applicants may apply for the certificates from Common Service Centres (CSCs), internet browsing centres or from their home by clicking on the link www.m-eghalaya.gov.in/megportal/edistrict. SMSes will be sent to the registered mobile number of the applicant regarding the status of their application.
