SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Minerals Exporters Chamber of Commerce (MMECC) thanked Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and the Leader of Opposition Donkupar Roy for easing out the problem faced by the lime stone exporters.
Following the recent discussion in the Assembly, the Government asked all those who are engaged in the trade to submit their application for re-assessment of the old stock of lime stone that is still left in various quarries.
After verification, challans will be issued to start transportation.
The MMECC urged the DFO, territorial East Khasi Hills District to expedite the process of re-assessment of limestone at the earliest, and to issue challans so that people who have their old stock of lime stone in their quarries can start transportation.
