Khasi National Awakening Day on April 4

SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) will organise Khasi National Awakening Day on April 4 with a rally to protest against some contentious issues plaguing the state.
The voice of protest will mostly be on uranium- “We are against uranium mining and topic of discussions included railway project, border issues and educational issues.” the Union said.
The rally will begin from Urkaliar, Demseiniong till the office of Atomic Minerals Division at Nongmensong. The Union further stated that there will talks on the issues followed by burning of effigies.
