JOWAI: The Durbar Shnong, Nongtalang village has asked the MeECL to appoint a lineman in the village.
According to residents, the lineman posted in the area retired 10 years ago and the post of MeECL remained vacant since then.
The absence of a lineman in the village has created inconvenience to the people.
“In case of failure or disruption of power supply in the area, it takes the MeECL several days to restore power supply due to the non-availability of a linemen,” a village elder lamented.
