SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep People’s Federation (HPF), Mawlai Circle has extended its support to the KSU and people of the six villages– Mawsiatkhnam, Nongkohlew, Umphrew, Umjathang, Umrynjah and Madan Mawkhar– falling under the jurisdiction of Mawlai Them, in their opposition to the survey conducted by Northeastern Frontier Railway (NFR).
The HPF said that the coming of the Railways will pollute the area and pose a threat to the people and the State as a whole.
