Lapang inaugurates road, footpath in Ri Bhoi

NONGPOH: Chief Adviser to the State Government and local MLA DD Lapang on Thursday inaugurated the village footpath built of interlocked tiles and a motorable road at Umjari Mathan in Ri Bhoi.
The project was funded under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) of 2015-16 under Umling C&RD Block at an estimated cost of Rs. 29.61 lakh.
The inauguration programme held at Umjari Government Lower Primary School was also attended by Umling C&RD BDO R. Kharbihkhiew, Chairman of Umling C&RD Block M Makri, headmen of nearby villages and church elders among others.
