SHILLONG: East Khasi Hills police has written to Twitter to share information about the user who made a fake account in the name of Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and posted messages.
Sangma has filed an FIR after a fake account was created “with mala fide intention”. “We are still waiting for a reply from Twitter,” East Khasi Hills SP Davis R. Marak said.
The Sadar Police where the FIR was filed has registered a case.
The message posted from the fake Twitter account states, “If I win elections, I will legalise #WEED (Marijuana) in Shillong #Congress# No Corruption# Meghalaya.”
The message was posted online at 1.51 am on the same day of the opening of the account.
