SHILLONG: One of the country’s most gifted scientists and an accomplished researcher with more than four decades of experience spanning over several fields and areas in both basic and applied sciences of defence research, Dr. Vijay Kumar Saraswat, will be the chief guest at the XXIV Convocation of the North-Eastern Hill University on April 28.
On the occasion, around 1494 students will receive their degrees in person while 7495 in absentia.
At present Saraswat is a member of NITI Aayog (Planning Commission of India) and is shouldering many honorary positions in government and academic institutions.
