Call for crusade against exploitation of nature

SHILLONG: Senior UDP leader and MLA from Mawkynrew constituency, Remington Pyngrope has appealed to Catholic laymen to play a leading role in the vital crusade against plundering and exploitation of natural resources which have led to environmental catastrophe.
Pyngrope was addressing the inaugural programme of the 10th annual meet of the Catholic laymen confederation of Shillong Arch-Diocese as chief guest on Saturday at Mawkynrew Parish.
He urged the laymen to take extensive awareness programmes on the need to preserve and protect the environment. (Contd on P-10)
