SHILLONG: The Central Recruitment Board (CRB), Meghalaya, has denied media reports that many candidates were not called for personal interview even after they performed well in the physical test for the recent recruitment in Meghalaya Police.
Speaking to The Shillong Times on Friday, Inspector General of Police cum Recruitment Board Chairman H. Nongpluh said the list of candidates eligible for personal interview for various posts in Meghalaya Police as published on May 17 was drawn by adding the marks of Physical Efficiency Test (PET), bonus marks and written examination.
He said the marks for PET were published on the Meghalaya Police website every day after the completion of the test and added that the eligibility list was prepared after taking the government’s reservation policy into consideration.
Earlier, a group of candidates had claimed that their names were not included in the list of candidates eligible for personal interview despite having performed well in the physical fitness test.
Nongpluh clarified that answer to all the questions were uploaded on the police website and copies of the OMR sheets were given to the respective candidates on the day of the examination.
He also added that aggrieved candidates and any complaint pertaining to recruitment can be submitted to the Principal of the Police Training School or the chairman before May 26 after which no complaints will be entertained.
