London: India skipper Virat Kohli believes that host England is a perfectly balanced side and the Eoin Morgan-led team cannot be taken lightly in the upcoming Champions Trophy, starting on June 1.
Kohli, who will be leading Team India in a major ICC event for the first time, talking to mediapersons said,”I think they (England) are a very balanced side. I think one of the two best balanced sides I would say in the world at the moment.”
“They bat right down to number nine or 10. All explosive players, five or six guys can do both bat and bowl and good fielders as well,” added the run-machine.
“That’s why they give you such a tough competition anywhere they play in the world, one-day cricket, and we experienced that in India as well,” he added.
Notably, India, who will be entering the tournament as defending champions, will be taking on arch-rivals Pakistan on June 4 before playing Sri Lanka on June 8 and South Africa on June 11. (UNI)
