Army Public School, Christ King excel in CBSE exam

SHILLONG: Continuing the legacy of excellence Class XII students of Army Public School Shillong performed well in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination 2017 conducted by CBSE, the result of which was declared on Sunday.
Similarly Christ School International, Nongsder, has secured 100 percent in the CBSE class XII examination.13 students secured A1 and 57 others passed with distinction. The number of students, who secured first division is 40 and 13 students passed in second division.
In Army Public School, out of 211 students who appeared the examination this year, 33 students have scored 90 and above marks in aggregate.
Sourav Paul topped the Science stream by scoring a remarkable aggregate of 96% marks, Anwesha Bhattacharjee secured second position by scoring 95.8% marks in aggregate and Sauvik Shome secured third position with 94.8% marks. In Humanities, Zaffinia Lyngdoh Pyngrope topped by scoring a whopping aggregate of 93.6% marks, Udisha Raghuvanshi secured second position by scoring an aggregate of 92.8% marks and Dechen Entisenla Dorjee secured third position with 92.2% marks in aggregate.
In Commerce stream, Muskaan Jain and Priyanshu Agarwal jointly topped by scoring an impressive aggregate of 95.2% marks; Palak Surana secured second position by scoring 95% marks in aggregate and Utkarsh Chokhani secured third position with 93.4% marks in aggregate.
Several laurels have been brought to the school by the achievement of many students. Dechen Entisenla Dorjee secured 100 and Zaffinia Lyngdoh Pyngrope secured 99 in Psychology; Chirag Roy, Sugandh Rasaily, Chalzakhum Songate, Priyanshu Agarwal, Grace Laldinpuii Sungte and Naphisabet Kharbamang secured 98 in English Core; Saurav Paul secured 98 in Mathematics, Anwesha Bhattacharjee secured 99 in Biology, 98 in Informatics Practices and 97 in Chemistry, Chirag Roy secured 99 in Biology, Siddha Dhar secured 99 in Business Studies, Paridhi Malhotra secured 98 in Economics, Iairikynti Lyngdoh secured 98 in Political Science, Udhisha Raghuvanshi secured 97 in History; Lamneilhing Rebeca Lhungdim secured 98 in Geography; Sourav Paul , Chhavi Dixit and Muskan Choudhury secured 98 in Computer Science.
The SAMC (School Administration and Managing Committee) and the staff of the school congratulated the students of Class XII (2016-17 Batch) for their performance in the Board examination.
