One killed in accident
On May 29, one person succumbed to his injuries when one scooter (AS-01J-8829) collided with one motorcycle (ML-08-8105) at Kantolguri, North Garo Hills. Two riders sustained grievous injuries and were shifted to CHC Resubelpara, where one of the injured Lingash M Sangma succumbed to his injuries.

Niece raped
On May 28, police said that one Dephrick of Mawjrong village allegedly raped his seventeen-year-old niece near Laitlyngkot in East Khasi Hills.

Cattle seized
On May 25, police detected ten heads of cattle from a jungle at Gaobari in South Garo Hills. It is suspected that the cattle were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh.
