SHILLONG: School Education and Literacy Minister Deborah Marak has asked the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) to ensure that leaking of question papers and results should not happen again.
The statement came from after MBoSE was in news for the online leaking of the top 20 list of the SSLC examinations even before the results were announced officially.
Calling for a detailed investigation into the matter, Marak said MBoSE being the only board in Meghalaya it should be a role model for other states and show better results.
“It is a serious matter and they should be careful and ensure that it does not happen again,” Marak told The Shillong Times.
Soon after the results were leaked, MBoSE had ordered an inquiry.
Marak lamented that the results of Garo Hills in this year’s Board examination was poor and said it was the collective responsibility of teachers, parents and students to improve the results.
