NONGSTOIN: A businessman, Gigur Marthong, joined the NPP in Mawshynrut recently.
Supporters of Marthong claim that he enjoys the backing of the Garo community in the area and also has a good understanding of the problems faced by the locals.
He was inducted into the party by NPP’s Mawshynrut block president on June 16.
