Forensic report yet to come after 1 year

SHILLONG: The state police department is waiting for the forensic report of the minor girl whose body was found at Dam Site in Ri Bhoi on July 29 last year.
East Khasi Hills SP Davis Marak told The Shillong Times that Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) Hyderabad is yet to send the report.
The girl from Umlyngka went missing on July 24 prompting her mother to file an FIR on July 25 and subsequently lodged another FIR on July 28.
The mother filed the second FIR after she came to know that her daughter’s friend, Juntina Lyngdoh Marshillong (20), went missing on the same day (July 24) but came back the next day.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Meena Kharkongor said she will send a reminder to the SP regarding the case.
