TURA: The educational qualification of a particular teacher of Patelipara and Baishyapara SSA Upper Primary School in South West Garo Hills is being questioned based on his submission of documents belonging to an educational institute, which has reportedly already closed down.
Sahad Miah, who is currently employed as assistant teacher in the said school, while applying for the post had submitted a 10+2 certificated belonging to the All India Educational Parishad which was supposedly issued in 2016.
The authenticity of the certificate is being questioned as reply to a recent RTI filed with the Sankardev College of Allied Sciences of Guwahati in Assam revealed that the Parishad had been closed down since 2014.
The RTI was filed by S K Hussain, an advocate from Shillong and the revelation has raised suspicion that the certificate submitted by Miah could be faked.
This is not the first time that a teacher has been found in possession of a certificate supposedly issued by the same institute. Earlier, Aktar Hussain, the second teacher of Beparipara Lower Primary School in the same district was found to be in possession of a certificate belonging to the All India Educational Parishad.
That time, an RTI filed by Anyal Hoque with the Ministry of HRD in New Delhi revealed that the All India Educational Parishad has neither been set up nor recognised by the ministry.
