Draison to contest from Nartiang

SHILLONG: The village heads of 84 villages falling under Nartiang constituency on Saturday organised a public meeting in the run up to the Assembly 2018 elections at Khanduli, Jaintia Hills, in which the people extend their support to Draison Kharshiing as contender for the Nartiang seat.
Kharshiing was an MDC in 1989 from Nartiang and he was defeated by Boni Bamon in 2008, later he unsuccessfully contested from Nongkrem constituency.
He said that he returned to politics after his consultation with village heads and supporters of Dhar.
