Four coal laded trucks seized in JH

SHILLONG: A number of trucks carrying coal in violation of the NGT ban order have been detained in Jaintia Hills region.
On July 6 around 3.30 pm, Magistrate and Police conducted a checking of illegal transportation of coal from Sookilo to Latyrke area in East Jaintia Hills and detected one truck (NL-01Q-8554) driven by Firstmon Kharpamtiah (22), while transporting coal.
On the same evening, during the checking the team detected one four-wheel truck (ML-11-1901) driven by Neverless Thubru.
The Deputy Commissioner has also detected one four-wheel truck (AS-01C-0062) driven by Md. Jakub Ali, while transporting coal.
In West Jaintia Hills too, few trucks were seized for carrying coal illegally.
On July 5 around 10 pm, Police detected one truck (AS-01HC-0750) driven by Ferdinand Rymbai at Lad Pasyih NH-44, while, a coal laded truck bearing registration number AS-01EC-9450, which was abandoned at Muthlong road was seized.
