HC directive on industrial promotion officers

SHILLONG: The High Court of Meghalaya has asked the Government to keep in abeyance the advertisement for the post of industrial promotion officers under Industrial Department following a petition.
During the hearing of the case on Wednesday, counsel for three petitioners, N. Syngkon and counsel for MPSC, K Paul were present.
After the court issued notice to the Government, the Additional Senior state counsel, S. Sen Gupta appeared on behalf of the State respondents and accepted the notice.
The matter will come up after two weeks for counter affidavit and further order.
The Court said that in the meantime, the advertisement if any, pertaining to the post held by the petitioners will be kept in abeyance till the next date.
