KSU pays tributes to U Tirot Sing

SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) paid homage to Khasi freedom fighter, Tirot Sing Syiem on Monday at Madan Iewrynghep, Laitumkhrah on the occasion of death anniversary of the freedom fighter.

Speaking on the occasion, KSU president, Lambokstarwell Marngar said, “The sacrifice of U Tirot Sing did not go in vain as we still facing a tough fight regarding various issues as a community. We have to continue follow his footsteps.”

Later, in the day, Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) observed a one-minute silence on this day.
