SHILLONG: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) youth wing and qualified jugalis will staged an indefinite protest in front of the gate to the headquarter of Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) from Monday over the Power Corporation’s apathy in issuing the appointment letters to 466 of them.

President of KHNAM youth wing, Thomas Passah said that jugalis from across the state were expected to converge at the place where they had once staged a sit-in demonstration.

It may be noted that the merit list of qualified jugalis the will lapse on August 2 while the appointment letters of these Jugalis were yet to be issued.

The appointments are supposed to be done in phases – 336 appointments under phase-I, 233 each for phases II and III. Passah said that appointment of Jugalis under Phase II and Phase III were not yet issued.
