SHILLONG: Three police personnel of Jowai Traffic branch have been suspended after they were found collecting money from truckers at 4th Mile, Jowai bypass.
Around 7:40 am on Thursday, UBCs W.R Suchiang, M. Laloo and P. Suchiang were found collecting money illegally from truckers.
The three cops were using their own vehicle (ML-04B-0618).
West Jaintia Hills SP R Muthu said that a case has
been registered and the matter is under investigation. The three officers have been suspended, department inquiry will be conducted against all three of them, he added.
