Graduation day of Nongstoin college held

NONGSTOIN: The Nongstoin College on Thursday organised the college graduation day 2017.
Hundreds of students attended the last day of their college in the presence of Dr. P.Nongkynrih, Department of Physics, NEHU, as the chief guest, D. Nongkynrih, Professor Department of Economics, NEHU as the guest of honour, Principal B.K.Laitflang and all the associate professors of the college.
D. Nongkynrih said that the students who sacrificed their comforts have completed the major milestones in their life after they had late night studies, and lack of sleep.
Nongkynrih asked the students to make the world a better place to live in.
She also lauded the efforts of the management and the dynamic role of the Principal of the College for running the institute and also for introducing science stream as it gave a chance to those students who cannot afford to go to other colleges in Shillong
The chief guest Dr. P.Nongkynrih felicitated Shimtilin Thongni, who secured first class from Khasi department with a memento and Rs.5000.
Three associate professors of the college, Dr.T.Marbaniang, Department of History for his Ph.D, R. Khardewsaw and D.Byrsat Department of Khasi for receiving M. Phil degrees were also awarded.
