MLCU 10th convocation day held

SHILLONG: Around 686 graduates including four PhDs and 325 master’s degree received their diplomas at the tenth convocation of Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) held at at Madan Mawarling, Umpling, Dong Shaneng on Thursday.
The number of graduates has increase immensely compare to the MLCU’s first convocation in 2008. More than five thousand graduates have emerged from MLCU in the last decade.
Presiding over the ceremony, Governor Banwarilal Purohit exhorted the graduates to contribute to the building of the region and the country.
The Dean, Dr Jennifer War presented the annual report of the university informing that according to a recent survey conducted by the India Today Magazine, MLCU is ranked 35 among other private universities in the country.
