SHILLONG: As many as 12 MDCs of KHADC will join the newly formed People’s Democratic Front (PDF) on Wednesday.
Party sources said on Sunday that this will be a boost to PDF which is gradually spreading its network.
The 12 MDCs who will join PDF are Latiplang Kharkongor, James Ban Basaiawmoit, Banteidor Lyngdoh, HS Shylla, Morningstar Mawsor, LG Nongsiej, Hadrian Lyngdoh, Grace Mary Kharpuri, James Sylliang, Arbinus Lyngdoh, Victor Ranee and Blandingstar Warjri.
Though these MDCs were elected from various political parties, they had shifted allegiance.
Sources said they would be preparing for the 2018 Assembly polls.
KHADC chief executive member PN Syiem is expected to join PDF sometime in September, sources added.
